Our advisor-led wealth management businesses provide financial planning, investment management, banking and comprehensive advice to a wide range of clients, including ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, as well as family offices, foundations and endowments, and corporations and their employees. Our consumer business provides digital solutions for consumers to better spend, borrow, invest, and save. Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Our division specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond

APEX

Apex is the dedicated team in the consumer and investment management division that covers more institutionalized family offices, with dedicated coverage of approximately 500 family offices globally. Deal flow is a key component to the offering and we have built the Apex brand on differentiated investment content with a focus on bespoke private transactions and investment opportunities. The team has closed ~$1bn in direct private investments and institutional family offices are increasingly important to our broader capital markets franchise.

Apex works in coordination with PWAs to develop strong ties with family offices to deliver the full investment platform of the Firm. Services provided by Apex are cross divisional, enabling a small subset of PWM clients to access a broader suite of opportunities originating from the Investment Management, Securities, Investment Banking and Merchant Banking Divisions

Apex is in search of a Vice President hire to help cover family offices and source and champion differentiated investment opportunities across asset classes with emphasis on private and growth equity, venture capital, structured credit and illiquid markets. We are looking for a hard-working, organized and client-friendly individual who will be able to utilize expertise in private markets to drive client conversations and facilitate executions with an emphasis on private deals, while also expanding on firmwide partnerships with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) and other division.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities May Include

• Develop connectivity within the Firm to source and deliver differentiated and bespoke equity, fixed income and alternative investment products to clients
• Work closely with Private Wealth Advisors to support and expand existing and prospective client relationships via private investment deal flow
• Champion select investments through due diligence, committee and review processes internally; participate in structuring and negotiating terms and investments
• Communicate investment opportunities with sales teams and directly to family office clients
• Work closely on business development initiatives including managing client-related events, spearheading product development, improving sourcing channels, and creating scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent French or German preferable
• Demonstrated orientation toward and interest in understanding financial markets with at least 7 years (Vice President) of relevant industry experience; preferably related to investment banking, private or growth equity, venture capital, structured credit or illiquid public investments
• Demonstrated history of commercial prowess and success with strong client focus, business development and relationship management skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a desire to work in an unstructured, business building mode of team-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
• Strong analytical, communication (both oral and verbal) and organizational skills
• Demonstrated interest in financial, economic and global capital markets
