Position Summary

Prose is seeking a Confirmed DevOps Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of our infrastructure and platform. This role is ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence, with a meticulous approach to problem-solving and a drive to grow their technical expertise.



As a key contributor to our DevOps team, you will work on maintaining our systemsu2019 stability and performance while collaborating with developers to improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities


Operational Excellence


Maintain and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-hosted infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform)


Monitor, troubleshoot, and address operational issues, ensuring high availability of services.


Contribute to the upkeep and optimization of our Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments


Assist in managing our self-hosted GitLab instance to support efficient CI/CD workflows






Technical Execution




Participate in provisioning and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm


Enhance and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure proactive issue resolution


Regularly audit and improve developer tools, pipelines, and processes to enhance the developer experience


Support the deployment of new product features by collaborating with developers on infrastructure design

Key Candidate Requirements


Experience




3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role


Proven ability to work within a cloud-based environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform


Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and Kubernetes




Skills and Knowledge




Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm


Basic experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab pipelines) and an eagerness to improve workflows


Knowledge of Linux systems (Debian) and fundamental networking concepts


Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this role is 50,000u20ac to 55,000u20ac annually (+ variable bonus). Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
